Sun Cellular, The Good Choice in Postpaid

Being the career woman on a budget, I really have to make ends meet every month. I always have to be very   practical on my choices since I am planning to put up my own business come mid next year. Goals + priorities + determination + hard work = ACCOMPLISHMENT. But of course, my kikay soul can never live without food, clothing, make-up, social life and INTERNET ACCESS. These are my non-negotiables!!!

I am very glad that the days of slow-moving, ugly giveaways and heart-breaking network connection fees are already far behind. Today, we have a lot of network choices and post-paid plants just waiting to be tapped around. And if you are a student, a fresh graduate, corporate newbie or simply just on a tight budget like yours truly, we only have one network in mind when it comes to unlimited postpaid plans, "Sun Cellular".

And if you are currently craving for the latest smartphones sans the hefty price tag, it is wiser to choose from plans which offers you unlimited services with the latest gadgets as freebies on the side.

Meet the the most "sulit" plans from Sun Cellular postpaid which has this beautiful gadgets in tow.

Sun Plan 600:

  • Unlimited Calls and Texts to Sun Network.
  • 250 Consumable Amount
  • 350 Texts to other networks
This plan is perfect for slight internet users but has a mother load of "Sun" connections in his/her business network. You can always count on clear phone conversations with Sun Cellular and on-time text messaging so you can never miss a single opportunity. Remember those times when you bagged the slot yet you cannot confirm on the text message since you ran out of load? BUMMER! This plan also comes with a free Alcatel Idol phone which is the the lightest phone from the brand. It also comes with an 8 MP Rear Camera and 2 MP Front Camera. Ang lakas lang maka-sosyal!

Sun Plan 999:

  • 4 hours Sun to Sun Calls
I think this plan is specially made for social network freaks who cannot live without tweeting the latest news (as if the information is not available on tube or on print), IGing their latest meals, liking photos and statuses and updating their (ahem) blogs! Hi, I just might be referring to myself with those statements, hahaha! Having unlimited Sun to Sun texts and 4 hours Sun to Sun Calls in the package means that personal connection is not compromised. It also comes with a free Alcatel Idol Ultra which is only 6.45mm thick plus it has an 8 MP Camera which is almost the same with Alcatel Idol only thinner and with 1.2 GHz dual-core processor.

Please visit the Sun Website for their latest offerings and try their "Plan Creator" service to choose from their variety of postpaid plans that will suit your budget and needs. Make sure to print your desired postpaid plan and dropped by at the nearest Sun Shop to clarify any inquiries that you have with their SAs before submitting your final application.

Hi Sun Subscribers...

I know a lot of people have been disappointed with Sun's internet services - broadband/mobile but I've actually found a way to boost it up...

I don't have broadband services for laptops/tablets but I subscribed for a mobile service so I'll post my findings about that instead... And hope it helps... THIS MIGHT NOT WORK FOR ALL UNITS THOUGH AS I HAVE ONLY BEEN SUCCESSFUL ON DOING THIS ON AN Alcatel Glory 1 and Alcatel Soleil...

So… I had been very frustrated with the poor speed of my mobile internet for the past two days that I had been using my phone and decided to do some "tinkering".

Here's what I did:

These are must do steps:
Two ways to activate your GPRS:
1. Text ACTIVATE to 2300 (Must wait for an SMS notification)
2. Once notification is received, text SETTINGS to 2300 (TEST INTERNET SPEED FIRST BY GOING TO A WEBSITE USING YOUR DEFAULT BROWSER) – If the internet responds to your satisfaction, then you do not have to do the steps below.

1. (Alcatel Soleil): Go to settings- more – mobile networks – Data connection – choose SUN
(For other phones): Just try to look for Packet Data/Data connections/data Packet and enable it
(Usually): Settings – mobile and network- Mobile networks-Enable Use packet Data
2. (Alcatel Soleil): Go to settings- more – mobile networks – 3G services – Enable 3G services – Choose sun. ****GO BACK TO 3G services. Go to Network mode – choose WCDMA only****Go back to Mobile Network – Network operations – (it will load a while) – then choose SUN 3G/SMART you can change this depending on the result of the configuration as in if your internet goes fast or if it would still be slow. After these, go back to Mobile Network again- Access point names – Choose Sun internet – Only thing you have to make sure of is that APN is set to minternet.
3. (For other phones): Go to settings- more – mobile networks – Network Mode – Choose WCDMA only****Go back to Mobile Network – Network operations – (it will load a while) – Search networks – SUN/Smart (depending on what the phone recognizes). After these, go back to Mobile Network again- Access point names – Choose Sun internet – Only thing you have to make sure of is that APN is set to minternet.
