Benefit Fine-One-One

Everyone hates talking to someone with dull and flat looking skin (unless, of course, you're a patient in a hospital). Imagine running into the apple-of-you-eye in all that "zombie" look. YUCK! But fret not, Benefit has the answer for your unpleasant aura concern.

A week after it's release here in our country, I decided to buy Benefit Fine-One-One at Rustan's Shangrila as my "sweldo" treat to myself since life is currently showering me with generous amount of stressors, but I know that this is just the rain shower and the storm is yet to come. Well, good luck wallet dear. I was actually deciding between the Fine-One-One and World Famous Neutrals, since I am not really into eye make-up (too lazy to put it in the morning, dead-tired to remove it at night). It is pretty obvious, Fine-One-One rose as the winner among the two.

Benefit Cosmetics really has a charm in it's products. From packaging to the product formula itself.

Benefit Fine One One (L-R) in Soft Coral, Sheer Watermelon and Pink Champagne.
Swatches:

Single Swipe

Blended Colors

Claims: This sheer brightening cheek and lip trio blends together perfectly to give your look instant lift, shape and pop. Bring on beautiful cheeks and lips! Fine-one-one... Your hotline to hotness!

Use: This one's long... from their manual.
  1. Glide from the apple of your cheeks to your temple with the pink champagne highlighter facing up. The upward sweep and delicate sheen instantly lift your look.
  2. Blend with (clean and sanitized - should I still be reminding you of this?) fingertips in an upward circular motion for cheekbones that suddenly appear shaped and defined.
  3. Apply once for a soft, natural look... once again in a circular motion to build a bright pop of color. Go as sheer or dramatic as you like.
  4. Give cheekbones extra high lightning glow. Apply the pink champagne highlighter with your finger... pat on the tops of cheekbones and blend.
  5. Swipe Fine-one-one on bare lips for a quick dash of color. (I use the sheer watermelon and soft coral for this one.)
Price: Php1,600.00 for 8.0g (That's it's only product size. Maybe to provide enough coverage when applied to our cheeks.)

I am not a good sleeper (except on weekends). I usually sleep with a maximum of 5 hours on weekdays. Yes, that's the maximum. I have to wake up early since I have to commute from Katipunan to Ortigas. That is the reason why I try to keep my morning rituals as short as possible. This made me fall in love with all these prettifying tints and facial illuminators since all I have to do is pat in on my cheeks and lips then I'm good to go.

Hits:
  • It is really simple and easy to use.
  • Since it is in cream form, i don't have to worry about it spilling in my kikay pouch.
  • The color combination compliments my morena (NC30) skintone.
  • It also give my cheeks that chiseled look minus the bronzer.
Miss:
  • This is not for the humid magnet skin (aka oily) and for those who are always on field work. The cream formulation of the product tends to melt on warm temperature. I suggest sticking to their tint bottles instead.
  • Never leave the house without setting it with a loose powder.
  • You have to re-apply it often.  Usually lasts for 2-4 hours only.
This product is perfect for those who are going on a job interview. It's sheer color combination compliments any skin tone, give you a natural blush and define your cheekbones. When applied to one's lips, the color is not too loud or too nude either. Just enough to give your future employer that "I am physically and mentally fit for the job" impression.
